POSITIVE VIBE ON PROUDLY FILIPINA

“Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible”
                                                                                     Cherie Carter-Scott

I saw the last part of  last night’s episode of Proudly Filipina on QTV 11 hosted by Charlene Gonzales and I was impressed by the attitude of one of her featured Filipina. She’s a woman born with Cerebral Palsy and despite of it, she managed to get a college education and have a business of her own. She is married to man who is also has Celebral Palsy and blessed with a healthy seven-year boy. She is very brave and shows no sign of giving up. She and her husband are both working hard to give their son the best that they can, without thinking that they are both physically handicapped. I am so impressed!

Sometimes we forget that we are blessed with so much that we have no reason complain every little problem that come our way. It also reminded us, people born without any physical defect, to appreciate the physical gift given to us.

TEXT MESSAGES FROM THE TEXT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD – THE PHILIPPINES

I live in the text capital of the world – the Philippines – where millions of text messages are sent and received each day. Far from other countries where mobile phones or cellular phones are purposely used to call, in the Philippines, rarely would an average Filipino receive or make a call using one’s mobile phone for it is quite expensive to have a minute call. And with the taut competition among mobile phone companies, text messaging rates have become very minimal, if not at all free, and for that reason, sending text message to somebody is more practical than calling him or her.

For a Filipino, life is extremely boring, a lackluster and incomplete without a receiving or sending a text message each day. It has become part of our everyday’s existence.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to those who always send me inspiring text messages and sometimes I have to delete some of them, otherwise, I will not be able to receive the other incoming text messages. I am very sorry to those whose messages were erased special credits are made to Armi Almaden, Angel Costelo, Dennis Roa & Zeneh Royo, whose moving messages are published here .

Here are some of the messages stored in my INBOX:

Everything in life is temporary .  . .

So if things are going good, enjoy it for it won’t last forever. . . .

And if things are going bad, don’t worry, it won’t last forever either.

A woman has strengths that amaze men.

She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.

She holds happiness, love and opinions.

She smiles when she feels like screaming.

She sings when she feels like crying, cries when she’s happy and laughs when she’s afraid.

Her love is unconditional!

There’s only one thing wrong with her, she forgets what she is worth.

Pass on to every beautiful woman you know.  .  .   .

Each day,  we may face situations beyond our reserves, beyond our capacities, beyond our strengths, but never beyond God’s enduring love and sustaining grace.

Have you ever asked yourself why does everything in this world have to be complicated?

Why do we have to see lots of varieties and choices yet we only need one?

Why can’t everything just be simple?

That’s life . . . .

Enjoy it . . . . .

It doesn’t matter if you pick the wrong one. . . ..

After all, how will you know which is right if you don’t know which is wrong.

Jesus had no servants, yet they called HIM Master.

Had no degree, yet they called HIM Teacher.

Did not study doctor of medicine, yet they call HIM Healer.

Had no army, yet kings feared him.

HE won no military battles, yet HE conquered the world.

HE committed no crime, yet they crucified HIM.

He was buried in a tomb, yet HE lives today.

I feel honored to serve such a Leader.

Hope this thought carries you through the week to come and beyond.

Friends are life’s best treasures.

Money may pass away;

Honor may give us pleasure;

But with friends like you, life is beautiful beyond measure.

Do you know the relationship of between your eyes?

They blink together, move together, cry together,

See things together and sleep together.

Even though they never see each other.

Friendship should be just like that.

Life is like hell without friends.

Happy mornings are created for happy people . . .

Forget about problems .  . .

Make yourself laugh . . . .

Face the day with hope and joy in your heart.

If what you see by the eye doesn’t please you,

Then close your eyes and see from the heart,

Because the heart can see beauty and

Love more than the eyes can ever wonder.

I pray for a life that you deserve,

A life as good as your heart,

As bright as your smile

And as wonderful as you are.

Stay in GOD’s grace.

Be close with someone who makes you happy. . . .

But be closer to that person who can’t be happy without you. . .

Feel the difference!

Always ask GOD to give what you DESERVE,

Not what you DESIRE. . . .

It’s because, your DESIRES may be FEW, but you DESERVE A LOT.

A beautiful life does not just happen.

It is built daily by prayer, humility, sacrifice and love.

May that beautiful life be yours always.

Love has no limits to its endurance,

No ends to its trust.

Love is what makes life so beautiful.

A boy asked God what is the most important thing to give to someone.

God answered, “TIME” my child.

But why time and not love?

Love . .  you can give that, you can share that to anybody.

But with time, you can’t stop it or control it.

Because you can never bring back the time that has pass by.

So spend your time wisely and cherish it while you still have it.

Spend time with your loved ones,

Because you never know when your time is OVER!

A nice story to reflect on this day:

A man experienced being robbed by thieves.

In his diary, he wrote:

“Let me be thankful first, because they took my purse and not my life;

Second, although they took my all, it was no that much as my faith;

And third,  because it was I who was robbed, not I who robbed.”

Let us see GOD’s purpose behind every trial and good things behind the worst situations.

God wants us to live like the grass.

Even if it is steeped on, crushed, burned and cut,

It always persists and grows back even greener and stronger.
